It is very arrogant and patronising to get involved at any time with any soveriegn countries internal politics.
This involvement goes back to when the USA was backing the very same Saddam for their own reasons not too long ago.
The only example I can think of to explain the present situation.....or is it a simile ?
The Allies have caused a wound, and are now staunching the flow of blood....they cannot walk away right now.
