They tried to do the same where I live. There is a school between two quite different areas. The school has a really bad reputation for drug and drink use, terrible GCSE results, and all not improved by a new head quite often.
They keep trying to get kids with parents who care to go there but those parents just send their children elsewhere.
Most parents from my part of town don't even put it down on the form you get to mark down your choices, they get to send their kid to the other side of town to a reasonable school, or can be bothered to write a decent letter of appeal......I appealed |
