Ill read the article later- too late tonight. But may make a quick post nevertheless. What is racism? Why are we so frightened by it in Britain? Hold on a minute, before someone goes mentle.. Im not saying its ok, or we should embrace it or what ever. Im saying for instance, is it possible that racism exists all over the world? In every country, in its own way? Has anybody wondered what is the reason for it as a human behaviour, after all humans are the ones doing it? What do psychologists make of it? Is it a relic of human evolution for example, or 'trible' behaviour?
What constitutes as racism? Is it overt racial descrimination and hatred, or a personally offensive comment made between two people from different racial backgrounds? Is it possible that racism is a 'oneway street' or can an ethnic minority actually be just as racist as a white british person?
It seems today, that racism isnt as riff as the media believes and seems to be nearly always wrongly diagnosed but is as common in everybody regardless of their origins. It would seem that if you dont join the ranks of the anti-racist police, you'll be shackled, flogged, publicly humilliated then caste into the pit. Its a witch hunt. |
