Apart from the IRA's terror campaign being financed almost exclusively by Americans, US agencies have long involved themselves in promoting terror attacks on foreign groupings that don't happen to suit their particular interests, in the name of but at the expense of democracy. They even had - and probably still do have - a terror school at Fort Benning, whose graduates committed so many of the atrocities in El Salvador.
The above are only the nipple on the elephant (I'm fed up of saying "Tip of the iceberg"). It would take weeks to list only the American terror activities that happen to have been uncovered since the beginning of the Cold War and beyond.
