I'll tell you one film that I found was a pleasant surprise, and was almost completely over-looked, was 'Stardust'. I'm a massive Neil Gaiman fan, and I think the film was a pretty good interpretation of the story, and certainly did it justice. If nothing else, it's worth watching to see Robert De Nero as a Gay Pirate. Having said that, there's much more to this film, and I highly recommend it to people of all ages.
