BBC NEWS | Scotland | UK rejection over gun laws review
Scottish MPs are calling for a review of current gun laws, as 1 in 3 deaths due to firearms, are children.
I'm not sure what the case is in Scotland, but I assume they have the same laws we do in regards to firearms. Personally I think the laws are fine the way they are. Most deaths due to guns are from illegal firearms, and so tightening the laws wouldn't make a blind bit of difference.
What they DO need to do, is increase the punishment for illegal firearms. A minimum of ten years for even being caught with one. Life imprisonment for anyone using an illegal firearm, even if it isn't fired.
Lawful gun owners should not be punished!
