I have always celebrated longest night, as the main winter festival, I hate short days, so longest night sees the return to day getting shorter.
Chritians just highjacked the winter festival, to subjugate the pagans, bring back Jule let us just party the dark away.
And while we are at it giveback Easter too, let us celebrate the coming of summer just for the heck of it.
