| I do, it doesn't mean i don't appreciate the picture. I don't know what it is supposed to portray. I am not trying to say to the world pick up your bow and arrows, lets go and create art for art's sake.
Maybe it is to represent our forefathers who thought of them as dinner.
Don't go upsetting yourself Splinter.
In my world nothing is sacred, honest, well not much anyway.
Here you go is this better...hehe |

It, in my humble opinion, is representative of the cruelty inflicted on what is a magnificent creature in the name of any number of self fulfilling pursuits.
If you look at each individual image the first I noticed was the one standing tall and defiant. That seems to be in the way of demonstrating our apparent dominance over what is, as it's appearance suggests, a massively powerful creature.
Then we have the other end of the scale. The Tiger hanging, humiliated and inverted.
If we take this inversion one step further though and look upon this poor, degraded creature as representative of all animals and our treatment of them, then maybe we can turn the images into something positive. By doing better.
A want or desire to do better for not only the animals in the scene, but reminding of how cruel and selfish we can be to our fellow man.
Obviously this isn't on a one on one basis but how we see our fellow human being, whether they be black, white, yellow or green.
If we can look on something that is merely an animal and feel compassion, even while eating something dead, as some may have done, surely we should be able to feel some compassion for anyone less fortunate than ourselves.
So, instead of simply seeing the tigers with arrows in them, think! |
