Is there anyone out there who is into visual basic programming or even c++

I'll be doing both next year in college but unfortunately i don't know any thing about either of them :\

I use vb a lot and its quite good. Its easier to learn than c++ and when I did my degree, c++ had no gui............it was dos based version 2 or 3.X
This has evolved into a version with full gui and is among the tope 5 programming languages and accidently can be used in conjunction with vb.

I did a lot of programming on the ohio scientific c1p and that was in assembler ....my mind boggled at accumulators and hex codes....
