Default Great Albums

I just thought I'd start this thread because I've been reminiscing, I'm 40 tomorrow, and I've been listening to some old albums.

One of the best that I never hear anyone ever mention is Self Portrait by Dylan.

John Cougar Mellencamp- Cherry Bomb. I don't think that's the album title but I'm sure someone could help me out....Blue?

Billy Bragg- Back to Basics

Dylan- Street Legal

Sex Pistols- Never Mind the Bollocks

Ed Allayne Johnson- Electric purple violin concerto.
(You've never heard of it but it's definitely worth finding)

Iron Maiden-Killers

Bob Marley-(Most of them)

Stone Roses- Second Coming (you'd be surprised)

I can't think of any more but I'm sure I will.
Apart from anything Dylan did before '78, and anything Hawkwind did, I've nothing more to add.

Give me your favourites!

Not the greatest album, but rather the greatest band:

System of a Down

Wow! great thread Sid, can't see it thriving but it really got me thinking, and a heated debate was had last night in the Ash.

Hmmm

Sex pistols - Never mind the bollox

A night at the Opera- Queen

For Rockers Ravers,Lovers and Sinners - The Cult

Wa do dem - Eek a mouse

Desire - Dylan....shit loads of Dylan

Spartacus-The Farm

Compact Collection-The Who

Quadrophenia-The Who.......in fact i'm just going to put it on and ramp it up, cures a fucking hangover every time, dam straight.

Right! where was i...oh yeah

It's Great when You're Straight...YEAH!- Black Grape

The Wall- Pink Floyd

I must say that i don't posses any Hawkwind anymore which has just pissed me off...correction! Masters Of the Universe - Hawkwind

Loads more Hawkwind, but i can't really remember the names...mind bending days

Crossroads - Tracy Chapman

Sonic Temple - The Cult

Earth Crisis - Steele Pulse

Victims - Steele Pulse...fuck it, i ain't writing all eleven tittles out, all Steele Pulse.

And on that point of not writing all tittles out, we come to the great man known as Bob Marley. I don't think i could put it writing what i feel about Marley....just believe i like his music?

If i had to pick one of Marley's it would have to be, just on a historic value UPRISING

I HAVE JUST PICKLED MY OWN HEAD TRYING TO THINK. so i will sign off this thread for now but will be back, of that you can be sure.

That's amazing. When I saw there was another post in this thread I thought of that album. Then I got to thinking about one of the songs, Watermelon in Winter Hay. What a tune!

Santana - Abraxas
