Default Batman Dark knight trailer

This looks seriously good. It's so tragic that Heath Ledger died shortly after filming what could prove to be one of his most masterful performences.

I think this looks amazing.

Not so tragic for the boxoffice receipts.

Normally I would agree, but I think this film would have done no worse if Heith hadn't died. The first of the new Batman films was so well crafted, I can only imagine the second being as good.

I'm with you on that. Nolan did a great resuscitation job after Schumacher all but killed off the franchise. Bale is nearly as good as Keaton. I'd go see the sequel just for Cillian Murphy again. And for a bonus, no Katie Holmes this time.

I think Nolan and Keaton both bring different things to the table. Keaton really nailed the whole split personality thing, while Bale has really got the troubled anti-hero persona going.

Yes, losing Katie Holmes was a good move, quite possibly the most over-rated actress in Hollywood.

I thought Keaton was a little too effete, and that the duality of his Wayne/Batman was over stressed. The truth is that anyone driven to become an uber-vigilante would be a monomaniac.

That's why I preferred Bale, whose Batman is a monster who believes he's on the side of right. Which sounds rather like Amerika itself, now I come to think about it, and possibly goes some way to explaining why The Dark Knight broke records on opening.

I've been pushed into watching it at the IMAX which I've never been to before. I'm being told I should get blow away.
