He also trots out the same tired "jokes" year after year, speaks in that slow, smug "style" as if every one of his fatuous, unctuous, dripping-with-slime statements is important and seems to believe that human life and wellbeing is of less value than forcing oily constructs of metal to travel at great speed.
At the end of the North Pole special last year the vile creature dared to imply that the global warming lobby was wrong because the Pole looked sound enough to him. Leaving aside the essential lie of the programme - neither he nor any of his equally moronic sidekicks went to any of the positions of the pole, actual or magnetic - I wish he'd go and camp on the Pole this summer to prove his point. It's likely to be open water.
