Hey Wired, scrap the Chess.com site, Sid's plugged me into a great site, redhotpawn.com. I'm about a 1500 so check me out if you think you're hard enough I'm eatmypawns, of course.

    Hi Wired,

I was born the son of a farmer so it is something you grow and learn into. My father was teaching me from being a very young boy if he had only known it. But this is not unusual in the farming community. I kicked back against it in my teens, as it is a hard life with very few financial rewards. I went off to the big city and learned electronics. I now fix computers for a living and the farm is my big hobby. I've never been happier.

Everyone needs some low tech in this hi tech world.

    Thanks for your interest.

    Regards,

    Mr Muck

Hi Wired, if you want, paste this link into a Google+ page and you will have a ready made Chess.com gadget pasted right into your homepage, and you can play a round of chess with anyone and still have the convenience of browsing. Let me know if you are up for a game. It works best in Firefox or Chrome.

I find people who leave half-way through a game maliciously satisfying for some reason. I'm not really for the ranking, as what's the point in chess? You're always going to find some 10 year old who will destroy you and leave you wanting to leave half-way through.

I used to play on the Fritz server (playchess.com), but you can't find anyone who wants to play a full game any more.

chess.com is probably your best bet.
