| Beyond Doubt Well the EU commission has worked out what we all assumed anyway, that humans are responsible for global warming, and it is accelerating far quicker than previously thought.
Will this make governments force immediate change to reduce pollution? Doubt it.

| I think is incredibly naive and arrogant to think we could have done all we have to this planet and not expect some sort of payback. Yes, this sort of change has been shown to occur naturally, but the changes have never happened so quickly before. |

| Nice to see you two in total agreement....ahhh.
I believe any changes that need to be made are too painful to expect any of the new emerging economies to accept before they have got what we in the west accept as normal.
And the chat on here about simple measures to counter the problem ie recycling, restricting traffic by road charges, higher fuel prices, green tax for air travel, are all met with resistance.
Realistically we must make drastic cuts to our lifestyles to make any difference, and demand the same of the dragon economies......it aint gonna happen.

| A good start would be to force car manufacturers to start mass producing hybrid and non polluting cars. Basically the major world governments have a choice, kill the oil industry or kill the planet.

| Not to mention we seriously need a forum of pollution free air travel. The fastest growing form of pollution.

| To make any impact we must start paying a financial price for things that "cost" the enviroment.
Lots of things are ridiculously cheap.... monetarily and enviromentaly....by that I mean.....you can buy a DVD player for under a tenner, imported from China.
The true "cost" is a hell lot more than that.....the enviromental "charge" in the manufacture and transport must cost more than that.

| I remain sceptical about humans causing global warming, due to the fact that there's no evidence whatsoever to say that humans are causing it.
I challange you to show me evidence (not scientists saying it's happening, actual evidence). |
