There is a glimmer of hope for England to get a draw out of this Test. I personally don't think they will get it but there is a chance.
If England do get a draw it will be the Ausis fault. I still can't understand why Ponting didn't force the follow on. England still needed 450 runs yet Ponting opted to bat and give Englands bowlers some much needed match practice, because let's face it they were shit, when they could have heaped more misery on the batting and it could all be over now.
There was a great 100+ partnership between Collingwood and Peterson early this morning, and i thought if they could bat through till day 5 i thought we would defo' get the draw. Collingwood put the dampers on that when he got out with a bit of a stupid shot against Waughn who tempted him out of his crease and done him like a kipper....out for 96 Doh!
Flintoff came and went far too cheaply
Close of play 300ish (i nodded off) for 5, and England are relying on the weather........that is if they get through the new ball at the start of play. |
