What an ambassador for the game of football. A perfect example of a true professional. Anybody that disagrees with that, well, i question their thoughts on what sport is all about.
Throughout his time at United, some 15-17 years, he has been the silent hero. Through his own personal tragedy and happiness he has retained his dignity.
The interview after the Liverpool game, and what a demolition job United did, which is rare in itself, was typical of the man. The fact that he has just scored his 234th goal in his 500th game was dismissed as slightly special. He was just concerned that the team won.
