I like reading some of the "old" stuff.

skinny you must have a lot of free time on your hands. (yes i have too today.) or are you writing the history of Talk Uk, for when it becomes famous? otherwise, i can recommend you a good novel.

but then, i remember there were a few passionate religious debates in the old forum. might be nice to re-read them. and i remember almost feeling like i had a friend or two here for a short time. -- perhaps Will could appoint someone to trawl thru it all and piece together the good and vital bits, in some authoritative documentary style, and post it here. a major blog.

As it happens i got six books off a scag head in the boozer Fridy night, £42 quids worth for a fiver.....i'm a good haggler.....anyway, I've just started reading Mad Dog The rise and fall of Johnny Adair and 'c company.....it's about one of the crackpots from the UFF in Ireland if you didn't know. Like i said i've just started it so i'll keep you informed. I should finnish it in about six weeks

Reading Wills post, i think it is technical but not a problem....more of a pain

It uses flat files rather then MYSQL, so all the data has to be loaded up individually. You also have to set up all the perl paths, CGI-Bins, preferences, Upload the flat files (uncompressed), set all the CHMOD permissions, install it, debug it, etc.

All a lot of work for something which people will look at a handful of times, and then never bother with again.
