| Perhaps maybe they were thinking, maybe if we had some light to shine on the cars, or maybe some stingers to puncture the tires, it wouldn't be necessary to blow people's heads off in front of their kids?
Its pretty pointless to speculate really, as neither of us were there or saw what happened. The fact is the driver didn't stop, most likely because he was too terrifid and panicked to do so.
What I find equally disturbing is that you are trying your best to defend the butchering of two adults in front of their six kids, and that you are trying to lay the blame on them rather than the occupying forces who shouldn't even be there!

| No, I'm not. The occupying soldiers are there. We don't want them there, they don't want to be there, but I can tell you, in their position, I would have shot too. This was a six of one, half a dozen of the other, thing. But, the reaction of the driver was wrong, no doubt about it. |

| No, never would be, but I am just giving my opinion from what I read, as are you. |

| Yet you know categorically that the driver was in the wrong.

| Not exactly. But this has happened before. I saw a piece of film on TV a while back, and this seems to be almost the same scenario. Thus, I do believe, from all that I've gathered, that the driver tempted fate by doing what he did and that I would probably shoot also. |

| Sorry Splinter....a guy carrying his kids fails to stop when he knows the danger?
No sorry.....
What ever the reasons behind it.....the father/driver did wrong by not stopping......but he most surely would if he had half an inkling of what was about to happen.
He had not strapped them with bombs and prayed over them to go straight to heaven.....he was out for a drive.....and made a massive mistake.......like missing the lights at red, or steaming across a busy level crossing.
Its called friendly fire....
