| Gay Rights! Since the sexual discrimination law was passed and rights were granted to homosexual couples, much outrage has been caused. Some believe that civil partnerships deserve the same rights as heterosexual couples and some believe that gay rights have been weighed in favour to that of other people’s rights.
It will become an offence to discriminate against gay couples for the provision of services such as ‘Bed and Breakfast’. Those that oppose this legislation argue that it infringes on their right to express their beliefs, which do not coincide with the acceptance of homosexuality such as Christians.
However, gay rights movements welcome such legislation arguing that it is unfair to discriminate against someone for their sexual preferences much in the same way that is unfair to discriminate against a young person just because they may come from a younger generation (age discrimination law).
What is your view on this?

| I don't see the problem is allowing gay couples into a bed and breakfast or whatever. I'm sure however most B&Bs reserve the right to refuse services to anyone they want without reason, up to them I guess.
I'm still not sure gay couples should be allowed to bring up children though, purely on the grounds that the child will have a confused view on relationships, not to mention getting a very tough time at school. Apart from this one thing I can think of, I can't see any other situation where gay couples shouldn't be allowed equal rights.

Skinny how would you know they were gay ? They are not all stereotypical prancing types. They may appear two butch lads out on the piss afraid to drive home.
Secondly.....
you will never ever ever legislate away prejudice or discrimination. You can pass as many laws as you like, but as Will says the man at the sharp end, will have no more vacancies...wink ...he has really

| Bruv, I think two men asking for a double bedroom would be obvious as to what their sexuality may be.

Absolutely not, but women are.

| So are you vain enough to think that any gay guy would be unable to resist you? Or should I say stereotypical enough. |
