I believe the percentages of boy to girls increase in single child families.
Something about the failure rate of fertilisation, males eggs being weaker, and flourishing better in healthier wombs.

So that percentage will continue to rise.

It's more likely to be that the parents who live in rural towns and villages who have to first support a girl and then don't get anything in return once she's married into another family may decide that the girl isn't worth feeding in the first place.

Pure genetics can't account for an 18% difference.

The baby boomers, the kids born just after the war as the Husbands returned to their faithful sexually inactive Wives.......was a higher percentage of male births.
Nothing to do with genetics...as such.

But I know what you are saying......Parents discard the unwanted children.....

I believe we need to limit the amount of children that a family can have to two. I also believe we need to stop immigration, and put up the 'completely and utterly full' sign.

Other countries need to adopt similar ideas too. Natual effects will graducally bring the population down, without harming the economy like a drastic drop in population would.

There should be more thought given to population control, some countries actively encourage or have done for many years a growth....why the Child Allowance in this country ? It can only make it easier to have more children.

This country is a long long way from being full...but we do need to limit newcomers purely on the grounds of peaceful assimilation.
