| The bilderberg group Im not one for conspiracys, but this is interesting http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bilderberg_Group
"The Bilderberg Conference is an annual invitation-only conference of around 130 guests, most of whom are persons of influence in business, academic, or political circles. Due to discussions being off-the-record, it is the subject of numerous conspiracy theories. The group meets annually, in secret, at five-star resorts throughout the world, normally in Europe, although sometimes in the United States or Canada. It has an office in Leiden, South Holland.
"
Your thoughts? It officially exists, it makes you wonder if the world is staged. And i cant beleive id even consider beleiving in something like the immuminatai but the fact the bbc runs articles on them etc. |

| There was a programme about this years ago, it's very real and the people who go to it openly admit it's real, they just dont' discuss what goes on there. I don't know if it counts as a conspiracy when everyone knows about it.
It was formed after the second world war to prevent further wars, though I dare say that's not what's it's about any more, if it is it's not very successful. World bank leaders go too, they claim they are trying to keep the world ticking over (so to speak), as you say it's off the record.
That's my problem with it to be honest, when our elected officials are out there representing us, we have a right to know what's being discussed. |

| I agree with Will. It has a noble original goal, world peace but, isnt the UN for that purpose? You could argue its a forum where politicians could speak "gloves off" But the temptation of co-ordination between these people for there own gain must be huge. |

| I believe the Bilderberg group has been brought up in parliment on more then a few occasions, I couldn't tell you what the question or the answers were though.
The more I think about it though, the more it angers me that politicians who go are there because WE voted for them. We should demand that they publish the minutes of what goes on there. |

| Suffice to say that what goes on there & the decisions taken, will affect not only europe, but the global economy and possible governemnts around the world.
It has always been accepted in some circles, that the world leaders are controlled by people to whom they are answerable.
So in reality....Bush is not really in control, but specific people above him.
The greater humanity does not get to know who is pulling whose strings. |

| It angers me too. Politicians are our rulers, they are our REPRESENTATIVES. There only mandate for power is because we voted them into power on the understanding they will represent us.
In ebing involved in this group, they are going against there fundamental role as our leaders.
THey should either give us those minutes, or resign. I wonder if under the freedom of information act its possible to get info from the government on who attended etc |

| "Politicians are our rulers" I sure you meant to put "Politicians are not our rulers".
That's a good point actually, the freedom of infomation may very well cover the Bilderberg group, that's one worth finding out more about. |
