Its definetly our country and our economy....they ( the immigrants we are talking about ) do not have status here...but in another country. so why should we put them up here in council housing, when we can house our own people first. There are plenty that need housing....

what has common sense got to do with christians anyway? I think you are just groping in the dark mate

There is a very strong arguement that "our" economy is strong because of these immigrants, they tend to work in jobs that UK nationals dont want, service and social care jobs with low pay and poor conditions.
Governments allow migrant workers knowing they fill specific jobs for the benifit of the economy over all, in fact they encourage it.
There is yet another arguement that says our strong economy was built on these immigrants labour over many imperial years, in their countries of origin, reaping the rewards of our Empire by stealing the wealth and funneling it back here rather than filtering some to the people it belonged to.
But that is another arguement.
Common sense and christians ? I thought that a Christian would have a more rounded approach to "Them" and "Us" thats all
