| Illegal immigrants to get free council houses If I read this correctly, the EU has passed a law which forces councils to house illegal immigrants, who have status elsewhere, in council houses here.
I know I harp on and on about big brother and stuff, but surely this is an agenda, which will increase racial hatred and also a possible plan to bring this country down to its knees.
I wonder what else the eu has up its sleeves. |

I wonder what else the eu has up its sleeves. | I dont understand the question, but any civilised country would accept that people should be treated with humanity.
Were the people being housed "Refugees" or "Illegal Immigrants"?
There is a massive difference.

| "Recieved Status"...meaning they are now citizens of an EU country?
Then they as well as you as a citizen of the EU have freedom of movement throughout the EU.....whats your problem with that?

| The problem I have is that if they have status in another eu country..why must our council house them here and not them being housed in their own country.
Apparently, councils are to give them preferential treatment.........
We are simply becoming a dumping site for the eu......... |

| In theory anyone with EU status has free access to the UK, whether you are granted that by the previous country or not is by the by.
The EU doesn't dump people here, people might find the UK more attractive than where they are and make their own way here....
Councils dont as far as I know give preferential treatment to non nationals, but only on need, naturally enough if you end up here and have nowhere to stay, you jump up the ratings, especially if kids are involved.
You could take this as a compliment in that people risk their lives to enter this country, save up to pay their way here, enter illegally and fight to stay.
This country has a long history of welcoming people from far and wide fleeing from tyrrany and persecution, and by and large these people have been absorbed into our way of life, and enriched the place.
The balance has tilted a little too far now...and a lot of the immigrants are purely economic migrants.......but if they keep their heads down and help our economy and dont use the benifit system....best of luck to em.
But what do you think had-enough?

| Ah! but will they work here and spend their money here......or will they simply live here, work here and send their money elsewhere.
Remember that these are not homeless people.......
I still think that its business as usual, albeit under a different agenda. |

| To live here and work here they must spend most of their money here.....if they put aside any extras, to take care of family at home.....why not? Its their money.
