| I thought we were having an open and frank discussion, people respond to the previous post, and try to cover every angle.....quotes are an aid to this, no more than that.
Syb please explain what YOU mean by "the holistic essence of the targeted post." To discuss something "holistically" but ignore the bad bits, or to look at things from such a distance that the details blur beyond recognition.
Put us to the test, share what you want with these people here....you can always disappear if things turn bad.......and nobody will chase you....I thought you was a stronger person than that.

| . You seem to have the wrong end of the stick. This thread was created so a certain poster could air their views with the intention of only praise for what they were saying, not criticism Quote: |

| How can you look at a debate in an holistic way? Surely the idea of a debate is to look at points raised and address them. Quote: |

| Cyber silence, I wonder what that means. |

| The cyber silence was aimed at another poster, not Syb. And I'm sure she does have a far more exciting life than me. |

I'm still not convinced though, that prostitution is an honourable profession. Also, can you all who are against Blackgrass please answer this question>
Could prostitution be beneficial in society in the way that it satisfies a man's needs?
Also, would sexual assualt and rape cases be on the up if prostitution ceased? |

| Yes. Quote: |

| That's a far more difficult question to answer. My initial thought was yes, but on reflection it is possible it could have the opposite effect. Maybe instead of seeing women as objects to be used and abused, as long as you pay, they may begin to be seen as equal. Okay, it wouldn't happen overnight, but could it not be that the reason so many women get raped is because some do allow their bodies to be used, therefore sending out the wrong signals to certain men.
Just my thoughts on a hypothetical question. |

| First may I say I am not against Blackgrass....only her way of portraying prostitution as a noble trade.
Prostitution has some merits, making sexual release to men on a purely trade basis, saveing possible complications for lone females and the prowling males.
I dont think it has any affect on rape figures, rape is not a reasoned crime, rapists dont wiegh up the alternate option of visiting prostitutes....
