happy easter everybody.
i've been commemorating by reading the Gospel of Judas, now finally available in English.
it's been no secret for many years that Judas was no judas.
his own lost-and-found corroborates that.
read it here:

of course this only supports what is clearly told in the existing bible, for he that hath ears. John 13:21-30:
the Last Supper scene (in John, at least) shows that Jesus chooses Judas. when the disciples ask who is it that will betray him, he says he will dip his bread in the sauce and hand it to the one. And that he does. it may have been a kind of lottery (like drawing straws); but Judas is thought to be the only one strong enough and not too dopey for Jesus to confide in and trust with such a responsibility. Jesus tells the disiciples over and over that he must die on the cross, and that, for this to happen, he must be betrayed. and still the dummies don't get it.
and only after Judas "accepts" the bread does 'Satan enter into' him (what? who witnessed that?). (some texts have Satan entering him before and during supper.) -- another oddity: Judas is suddenly in charge of the money-box instead of Matthew the ex-tax-collector.
i could go on. it's time Judas was cleared. he was a great guy in a tight corner.
