Default Smoking Police

As part of the smoking ban, the government is going to hire undercover fag detectives to hand out on the spot fines to anyone caught smoking in a public building.

Just remember, big brother is always watching!

Incidently, this crack-pot scheme is going to cost you and me £29.5 MILLION Pounds.

Yeah, I'm glad about the smoking 'police', but I do think the money could be better spent on catching criminals. But, hey, too much paperwork involved in that and smokers and motorists bring in the cash.

As a long time smoker and an ex smoker gone bad, I applaud the intitiative.
If smoking had just been invented, it would have been banned.
Forget about civil liberties, and the right to do what you want to yourself....its just a plain stupid practice by any measurement you want to use.

There have been arguements about the amount of revenue against the cost of smoking to the exchequer......nonsense.....the price is not worth the cost in shattered lives

The loss of revenue from fags will be picked up by the tax payer. Its a nice thought.
