| Save your right to take Photographs! Apparently, the government want to restict people's right to take pictures in public places. Yet is OK for the government to film and take pictures in public.
If you think this is as disgusting as I do, you will sign the petition below. http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Photography/
I haven't been able to find a relevant article on the subject, but I have it on good authority that this is very much a serious idea.

| I don't know how this will be affecting you in a professional aspect Will, but i am afraid i won't be signing no petition.
I do think it is ridiculous, and i agree with Splinter that it will be near impossible to police and will disregard it as too insignificant to be bothered about. |

| Too insignificant? .........I think its a very important freedom which threatens us all. We already have the do gooders getting irritated when filming your child in amongst other kids, who are ready to brand one as a paedophile.
The siginificance of this push by big brother/do gooder/aka nwo, is to stop photographic evidence of a past society, where freedom was rife.
the movie "big brother" depicts a drive to re-arrange history, evidence etc, according to that of the nwo. Editorial Photographers UK | Npower places injunction on EPUK member covering environmental protest

Yes, too insignificant.
I think it is a sign of the times bugsy, irritating or not it is a situation society has put its self in for reasons that are beyond me. I feel for those parents that cannot photo/film their kids at their schools sports days or playing in the parks...these days, like not too long ago these photo's/films will have to be recorded on the greatest camera of all...the mind, sad but true, but for the "protection" of the kids i suppose it HAS to be acceptable, or at least understood. WTF is that lot
Other than the wording of the injunction i don't see the problem.
I have worked on many "dodgy" places where in my induction to work i have been forbidden to take photo's/films...one being car manufacturing plants. They don't serve injunctions but i see the similarities to your link.
Oh! and another one is where they do animal testing, where it was for my own good. (thought i would throw that one in for the peta pricks) |

| I was visiting London sometime ago, with my wife, two kids in tow to see the sites.
As we got off the train at Charing Cross, I was filming them getting off the train.
The film was to show one of their parents (in Zimbabwe) the good time they were having, all very innocent.
I was appraoched by a dusky skinned lady in rail uniform who asked me to stop filming.( You will like this Splinter) Her accent was obviously not british, and I asked her what did you say?
She repeated that I should stop filming within the railway station.I took major umbrage.....I said words to the effect,"You stand there speaking to ME in a foriegn accent, telling ME not to photograph children on a day out ?"
She told me I would be arrested before I left the station if I continued to film.
I might have sworn at that stage, my wife told me to put the camera away....I continued verbally attacking the young women, until my wife took the camera off me in an embarrassed fashion and led me out of the station, still fuming.
(bugsy you might like this) Despite spending the rest of the day telling my wife about the rights the English have fought to uphold over generations.....that sort of thing cant happen here I told her.....and vowing to write a stiff letter............. I never did anything about it.
I know now this was at the time of a couple of rail crashes, the reasons for the ban was commercial.............or so I believe.
I am with Skinny on this.....it is a non enforcable law...BUT it is still worth complaining...........straws and camel's backs sort of thing.
Some sensible schools are now asking all parents who have children in plays not to let them perform if they dont want others to film them....sounds like good sense to me.

| Resistance is never futile, especially if a whole bunch of you can get together. Whats you should of done Bruv, is to reign in some friends with cameras, and show them the finger.
One person is a pushover for them, but a whole group, who stand their ground. They'' run with their tails between their legs. |
