UNICEF: UK & US worst place for children

New UNICEF report assesses for the first time the well-being of children and young people in 21 industrialised countries; UK ranks bottom in child wellbeing assessment.

The United Kingdom and the United States find themselves in the bottom of the ranking.

Why is this happening?

That does not surprise me in the least. I come from East London and, well, it's now a slum. The kids roam the street's, education is an afterthought. Parent after parent with an IQ of a knat.

To me it is all to do with the breakdown of the family, and parental unrest percolating through to the childrens own outlook.
Too many kids without the latest video phone might push the "subjective sense of their own wellbeing" higher than it might be....?
