Is the 8 year old that wieghs 14 stone, a medical or a social problem ?
They are considering taking him away from his mother for his own good.

Is it his mothers fault ?

I'm not too sure about this but perhaps the state should not intervene and let the fat boy eat whatever he wants and leave his mother alone. Of course I do not approve but it appears as though the child doesn't mind being fat as long as he can eat all his shit.

Why should the state not intervene?
If the kid was starving, running around unwashed and stinking of piss would you expect the state to intervene? Of course you would.
Why is what this woman's done to her child anything other than neglect?
She's neglected him by allowing the poor kid to become so fat he can hardly move.
I'll bet all the kids at school take the piss out of him really badly.
How many girlfriends is he gong to have when he gets older?
He won't be able to join in with any of the games the kids play during their breaks; socially excluded as a direct result of his mothers actions.
And to top it all she lets people film him doing all sorts of embarrassing things like struggling to put on a pair of socks, while his belly and tits wobble all over, and 'bouncing' on a trampoline.

Something should be done about his mother.

And did anyone see that program about the man who went up to 76 stone?
Jeez was he a mess. And the idiot tried to say he didn't eat any more than a normal person. Yeah right!

It gets on my nerves as well when the go on about their glands.

I watched a program once, Kilroy-silk, so it was a few years ago, and this woman all the way through it kept going on about her glands.
Right at the end of the show she let it slip that until she got married she was a size 8.
She'd obviously let herself go once she had her man. I did jump up and start shouting at the screen "WHERE THE BLEEDING HELL WERE YOUR GLANDS THEN!!"
Aren't fat people annoying. They always have one excuse or another.

And on that note, it's Wednesday evening so I'm off to the gym for a couple of hours.
