State funeral for Thatcher. The recent news that Margaret Thatcher is to be granted a state funeral dismayed me, as one whose only request would be that she be given a big enough grave to provide a dancefloor for all those who justifiably despised her.
The only other politician to be granted the honour of a state funeral was Churchill, who despite committing sundry evils in the cause of his parties was an implacable war leader deserving of commemoration. What I'd like to know is what did Thatcher actually do to deserve this?
Anyone got any ideas?
