You assume a lot Syb dont you ? If the grounds were religious would that make it wrong ? Or are you saying there are no religious FF's ? As for reducing the amount of emergency calls your having a laugh. Tell me Syb have you got smoke alarms ? The vast majority of deaths through fire are drug users alchoholics etc how do you think one of those leaflets will help them. Any normal run of the mill member of the public will take the leaflet and throw it in the bin.As for playful flirting and taunting i would'nt have a job if i tried that with a woman ff on my watch i would be out on my ear no questions asked. How one sided you realy are.

ahwell, my post indicated my understandings of the case (i.e. admitting possibility of being misinformed), asks some questions and does some wondering.

to me here, the only thing that seems one-sided is the bile you currently seem to be aiming at me.

How can that be construed as bile Syb. If i did that to a female ff i would get the sack. On top of that would you or more importantly the employers expect a female ff to go hand out leaflets at a pole dancing club ? I think not and if they did there would be the usual litigation in the wind. So if i've said anything to offend you i am surprised as I'm not in uniform and not displaying playful ladish behaviour. Ps you havent awnsered my question on your need for the fire service being so close but so far.

i have responded to your point (see preventative measures) and not received response to that or other direct questions (e.g. what grounds), only accusations of being one-sided.

but we're now going in circles so shall we just leave it?

Sorry Syb but i find you more discrimnatory than just about anyone. Your female . I have no problem with that. I do have a problem with your views. You jumped straight in and castigated the ffs and called them idiots. Tell me why it should be one rule for a woman and one for a man.

'idiots' was my unguarded and spontaneous reaction to what i believed was a familiar story about discrimination against a group of people for their life choice. i still am not being offered any evidence here that there is more to it than this. many of my friends and i practice bisexuality and have suffered discrimination for it, on occasion violent. 'idiots' is a polite word for what i think of such people.

i do not recall asking you for special consideration for being female. so why have you felt the need to raise the gender issue? now you do sound like you have a problem with women. are you disicriminating?

again from here it seems to be you that has the one rule thing going. most members post here with highly-charged opinions on all kinds of stuff they barely know at first hand. that's what these forums are for, isn't it? yet you would hang me for my word.
