a yob is just that a yob, until he changes his ways. why should the honest citizen bend over backwards for yobs. they may be someone's little darling, but their actions are yobbish and there are laws against this behavour.

lets not go down the route of "its how they were abused or treated at home" as a cop out.

I think we are confusing kids who hang about on street corners making loud noises, kicking cans,laughing and mucking around...with yobs.
Kids do that sort of thing because they are kids.
Yobs on the other hand are young criminals who should be treated accordingly.
Calling all young exhuberant people yobs because they are loud and lack the social graces of their elders is not the way to go......unless you want to alienate them into being the yobs you think they are.
