Sorry for a non answer but the answer is "Maybe"

Kids do tend to be a little loud, and like the dogs in your other thread exhibit pack behaviour when in a group.
Im not saying its OK nor do I condone yobbish behaviour......but strangely you dont have to be a yob to be yobbish at times.
If you bracket all rowdy kids as yobs.....they will react yobbishly.
If you bracket any group with a certain behaviour...the whole group will react likewise.
My view of the original article that promted this thread.....is that the person who thought it wrong to use the term Yob to cover all loud yobbish kids was right..........keep the word for the real yobs......or as they said dont use the word at all.

careful bugs, you may be revealing what a cowardly kid you were. i thought a little contesting of adult authority is a required rite of passage. seems you missed out. i see the internet is fulla guys trying to re-enact those missed rituals, and become men at last. but we all know, you can 'win' here and still be a retard.

yes, i remember a lonely boy who painfully wanted to be a member of our exclusive gang of misfits.....but whenever we were planning anything even slightly naughty that might result in the dreaded telling off by a man-in-uniform (eeeeeeek), he would mumble something about suddenly remembering his mum said he had to be home to watch an important quiz show or something.

i met him again about two years ago, and we chatted over a cider (yea, i just can't help being inquisitive of human nature). unsurprisingly he stayed on the path of least resistance, graduated from lame momma's boy to pussy-whipped impotent.

it takes all kinds to make the world go round. I was not one to stand back in my day but decided that slithering away to fight another day was the best option. I think that in my day we had respect for our elders, despite the mischief we got up to and thats the difference.

there's the magic word again. respect. let me quote myself (cos i'm soooo quotable)...

bugs, to me you seem to be proving what i said back on page one. in your day (btw, when was that?) i bet adults were also a lot more respectful of children too. and that's my point: the police throwing the word "yob" about at random tends to tar young people with the same broad brush. it's racist and shows no respect for the individual. so it alienates young people in general who understandably (by me, at least) react with the same lack of respect in return. it's too simple. someone needs to take responsibility and stop the downward spiral.

you can't demand respect. you earn it by giving it, and then it comes back to you. karma. or the knife with your name on it.

there you go...another sack of shit from Syb.
