i'm gonna name-drop big-time Relic-style. i met Spike a few times when i was 16-17. my friend's granny was his close friend. he made more sense than anyone i know. i love that man.

Have you read the biography by Norma Farnes (I think that's the spelling)? It's a real mixed emotions kind of book. In parts it makes you happy, in others it makes you feel sorry for the man, but most of all it gave me an insight into the man who wrote such classics as, Hitler, My Part in his Downfall and Rommel, Gunner who? not to mention his poetry for kids, and grown up kids, of course.
