Default Archbishop speaks on Sharia Law in Britain

Bishop: Impossible to have sharia law in UK - Telegraph

One thing that worries me about this, is the muslim girls who suffer domestic violence, and are forced into marriages that they don't want. Also wives who are brought into Britain not speaking the language and are subjected to domestic violence. At the moment they can go to the law for help. If this Sharia law becomes accepted here what safety for them will they get returned to the situation they escaped from. Will these vulnerable women be left helpless.
Has this man really thought this through?

In my view, muslims have twisted the Koran and will twist even the mildest of laws. I can see stoning becoming the norm here.

It also annoys me when I'm told that islam is really not all that bad, usually by a man, yet half the population lives in brutal purgatory in most of the islamic world.

I also think this is another blow to the gay community, if sharia law even the type he is advocating came in, it would be a big problem for gay muslims.
