North Korea and the American Philharmonic Orchestra One of the most ruthless totalitarian countries in the world, has taken a step in diplomacy and allowed the American Philharmonic Orchestra into their country to perform. Not to mention allowing a fair amount of media access with minimal censorship.
What I can't understand, is why are there so many people speaking out against it? Surely this is a first if very awkward step towards a very long awaited end to it's isolation?
Yes, it's a terrible regime, and we don't know the half of what goes on there. But shouldn't this important day be embraced rather then rejected?
